When the guys were almost finished putting our stuff into the back of their truck, I went and got the cage for our cat, who was locked up in the bathroom while the guys were moving our furniture. She must have been highly stressed with all the different voices and various different noises in the house, so when I opened up the bathroom door, she shot out so fast and ran through the house and out the door before I could even blink!
I ran outside and looked for her in her usual hiding spots but couldn't see her at all. I began to get really worried especially since we were about to leave the house... my daughter started crying when she realised that we might have to leave her behind for now and come back to search for her later on... we hadn't found the cat by the time we had to go and we were all very upset about it.
Later that night we received a call from MiniMovers asking if we had lost a cat that day and to our relief, the cat had actually shot straight out the door and into the back of the moving truck and gone home with the removalitsts!!
